Mary L. Huff is a wife, mother and grandmother. She has been through marriage and divorce, losing and regaining custody of her sons, career shifts, relocation with family and alone, and more of life’s everyday transitions. She sees women experiencing transitions at an increasing rate in today’s fast paced, ever changing society and wants to help them gracefully fly from one experience to the other. She wants to be there as they emerge from their current transition to find the path to their dreams.
In 1995, Mary received her MA in counseling. She served as a hospital advocate for Albuquerque Rape Crisis and as the Torrance County Outreach Coordinator for the Women’s Community Association before relocating to Tacoma. In Tacoma, Mary found little to no connections in the counseling community so she moved into corporate America, working for Intel Corporation. Now, eight years later, she is excited to return to her true passion with Spiral Dragonfly Coaching.
Mary became a Certified Dream Coach in 2008, when she discovered the substantial difference between counseling and coaching. Counseling and psychotherapy focus on the past and how it affects people in their everyday lives, while coaching focuses on the future and how people can find fulfillment moving forward. This is Mary’s Passion; helping people find the answers that lie within and working with them to find the ability to move forward. Through coaching, Mary hopes to assist people in isolating their true passion and creating a map for their journey to happiness.
Mary knows the challenges of transition and the fear that is often associated with change. She also knows that having a sympathetic ear can ease the pain of transition and remove the hesitation from your step. All transitions become easier with a guide helping to identify where you want to be as you maneuver through your changing life. Walk with Mary as she helps you focus on your dreams to ease you through your transitional journey.
